What better way to beat the heat or impress your friends at a dinner party than by creating a unique, exotic ice cream flavored with fresh basil. Basil ice cream tastes fresh and almost citrusy, and is truly a taste treat. This exotic ice cream recipe makes roughly 1.5 quarts of tasty basil ice cream. Basil ice cream goes really well with dark chocolate cake.

Ingredients

1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

2 Cups Half &Half

1 TBSP Honey

1 Cup Sugar

1 Cup of Fresh Basil

2 TSP Lemon Juice

1 Pinch of Salt

Instructions

*Pulse basil and sugar in blender until sugar starts to turn green, then blend on high for 30 seconds. Add remaining ingredients to blender and blend until mixture turns light green. Pour into your ice cream maker and freeze according to your ice cream maker instructions.
