Bath and Body Works Shower Gel in Irresistible Apple: A Review

Alexis Valentine
Most people have heard of Bath and Body Works and have probably shopped there a time or two. Bath and Body Works is a store that specializes in bath and body products. They have everything from the usual bath stuff like shower gels and soaps, but they also carry body lotions, hand lotions and hand sanitizers. Strangely enough I've never seen shampoo and conditioner sold there. I don't generally shop at Bath and Body Works except when I need a generic Christmas gift for that cousin or distant aunt that I know nothing about. Recently I dropped by this store to pick up a bottle of bubble bath and ended up leaving with more.

One of the items that I bought while in Bath and Body Works was their shower gel in the scent Irresistible Apple. I'm not usually a shower gel person I prefer my Dove and Oil of Olay bar soaps but lately my mom has been buying another brand and it's left my skin feeling dry. Bath and Body Works was having a special on their bath products, it was a buy two get the third one free deal, so I decided to give their shower gels a try. I've never tried any of their bath products before so I wasn't sure how good it would be but I liked the apple scent, which was a good start.

I've been using my Bath and Body Works' Irresistible Apple shower gel for close to a week now and I'd have to say that I love it. It smelled wonderful in the bottle but smells even better when used in the shower. I like that the scent doesn't get overpoweringly strong like some of the other body washes; the scent for this shower gel is light and clean. If I didn't get pruney after about thirty minutes I'd stay in the shower for hours. Not only does the scent smell nice but it's also relaxing. I also like the fact that it creates a lot of lather so I didn't have to use much shower gel to get my entire body clean, which is good considering the 10 oz. bottle costs me $10.50.

There were a few other aspects to Bath and Body Works' Irresistible Apple shower gel that I liked too. I like that it was moisturizing and left my skin moisturize most of the day. It also left my skin feeling soft and smooth. The only down side for me is the price and if they weren't having a special I probably would never have tried this shower gel. I'm glad I did though. Despite the price I would still say it's worth the money. Since I didn't have to use much product it will lasts me a while and in the end it pretty much equals out to be about the same as a regular body wash I'd get at Wal-Mart. I would buy this product again for sure.
