Bath Soak for a Poison Ivy Rash

Elise Marie

Having a poison ivy rash from head to toe is painfully itchy, severely red and raw and sometimes an oozing mess. A natural treatment that can help soothe, treat and cleanse a poison ivy rash gently and effectively is a homemade bath soak for poison ivy that contains soothing oats and essential oils.
The organic ingredients needed to make the bath soak are 6 cups of ground rolled oats, 1 cup of chamomile tea leaves, 4 cups of baking soda and 50 drops of tea tree oil. These ingredients contain medicinal properties that help soothe and treat the poison ivy rash while drawing out the oils and toxins causing the rash while nourishing the skin back to health.

To make the bath soak for a poison ivy rash all you do is pour all the ingredients directly into a mixing bowl and combine them together until they are evenly combined together. The soak should have a soft oatmeal color with specks of fresh chamomile tea leaves throughout and a strong tea tree scent. Once the bath soak is made you can pour it into a large container and store the soak next to the bathtub until you are ready to soothe that painfully itchy red oozing rash.

Now when you are ready to make a soothing bath with the soak all you do is fill the bathtub up with plenty of hot water that is comfortable to touch. Then you simply take 2 cups of the homemade bath soak and pour it into the bathwater and allow it to dissolve, which takes about 3 minutes. Next, you should have light foam on top of the bath water and a tea tree aroma filling the air of your bathroom. Then you get into the bath and soak for as long as you possibly can to help soothe and treat the poison ivy rash. You should use the bath soak 3 times per day until the poison ivy rash begins to heal. With each use of the bath soak the poison ivy rash should become less red and itchy, but this will take some time. If you find the poison ivy rash getting worse it is best to seek out medicinal help and get proper treatment. This bath soak is only meant to soothe and treat the rash and not necessarily to cure it.

I do hope this homemade bath soak for treating poison ivy will help soothe and treat your rash naturally. I wish you all the best of luck with getting better really soon and staying rash free in the future.
