Bathroom or Kitchen Soap Decor

For the Bathroom or Kitchen Soap Décor the items you will need are a bar of soap, wash cloth or dish cloth, this will be determined by which room it will be placed in for décor. The bar of soap can be colored or white. Of course the color of the cloth should match the other décor in the room you are doing. Other items needed are thread, needle, hot glue gun and glue sticks. Liquid stitch also can be used. For other additives on the Craft Wash Cloth / Soap Décor, you may want to set off the bathroom soap décor by getting some small ribbon, bows, and flowers. To top off the kitchen, use some small craft wood pieces made in the shape of kitchen items such as a mixer, can opener, toaster, or cups. If your décor in the kitchen is apples or roosters you may choose to just add apples or roosters. These wood items can be found at any craft store and are very inexpensive.

After you have chosen all the items to complete the craft it is time to make the Bathroom or Kitchen Soap Décor. First, put the soap and cloth together by folding the cloth where the edges are unable to be seen on the outside. Of course the end edges will be seen no matter what you do and that is alright. Now place the soap in the middle of the cloth, then pull the cloth upward. Attach the cloth about an half inch or inch above the soap with either the thread or liquid stitch, or hot glue. Liquid stitch or thread will be best if decide to wash in the future. When putting the cloth together, if using thread use the same color as the cloth, then just tact stitch to hold. After attaching just above the soap, the soap should fit like a cradle so that the ends of the cloth hang down. After it is attached then liquid stitch the ribbon and tie to add to the look. Now, fix a small bow over the tied part of the ribbon. Second, add the other décor items to the hanging part of the cloth by spreading the gathers apart and placing the flowers or wood pieces there, also down the sides. As you may already know, most flowers have a sticky piece on the back, remove it, then add the liquid stitch to give it more support. Now if using the wood pieces place the hot glue on the piece to attach it to the cloth. After this is done the Kitchen or Bathroom Soap Décor should be finished, but of course you may add other items to it if you like.

When you are ready to wash the soap decor, remove the soap first, then place it where it will stay dry. Be sure to wash the cloth gently with hands in luke warm water so that the items will not come unattached. If one of the items were to drop off let all dry and fix it in place again.
