They are easy to make and a fun way to spend time as a family. They make great gifts too.
These are the supplies you will need:
Wire Clothes Hangers
Bathroom Tissue Paper
Glue Gun ~ Use a hot glue gun with caution so as not to get burned! Children should NOT use a hot glue gun without careful adult supervision.
Glue Sticks
Your choice of Christmas decorations to decorate them with. Dollar Tree & Wal Mart & Target have a great variety of decorations.
Optional ~ Battery Powered Mini Lights.
Optional ~ Colored Kitchen Trash Bags ~ Caution: Plastic bags can be dangerous. Keep out of reach of children.
Project:
Form wire hanger into a circle. Form the hook into a loop so you will be able to hang the wreath on the door or where ever you decide to hang it.
Tear the square sections of the bathroom tissue paper from the roll and fold them as you would a fan, instead of folding the fan at the bottom as he does in the video fold it in half, put a dab of hot glue where the half fold is and glue it to the hanger, continue until the hanger is full. Then separate the plies and fluff out.
If you choose to buy the battery powered mini lights, hot glue the battery pack to the hook, leave enough room so that you can hang the wreath.
Decorate by hot gluing your choice of ornaments and bows to the wreath.
You can also use colored kitchen trash bags instead of bathroom tissue paper for wreaths that would be subjected to the outside elements.
Cut down the bags seams and open it up. Cut four inch strips and fold them as you would a fan and follow the same directions as above.
Have fun, be safe and have a wonderful Holiday season.
