Bathtime

My owner has just closed the water room door, with me in the water room. She has water running from that shiny tube into the long white thing. That can only mean one thing; it is time for my water treatment.

I really do not like water treatments. My fur, which is long and pretty, gets all wet and sticks to me. I look horrible. It is not as if my fur dries quickly either, it takes a while. Oh, well... for some reason, I have to go through this once in a while.

When I realized it was water treatment time again, I took off running. After I ran into a corner, my owner grabbed me. She put me in the water. It was so deep, over my paws! It was really scary!

Every time I tried to walk, I would slip. When I am in the long white thing, my owner lets me hold onto her. Unfortunately, while I hold onto her shoulder I claw her stomach with my hind legs as I try to get out of the white thing leaving long scratches.

She puts something cold on me and rubs my fur and skin...which I have to admit, does feel good. But then she wrecks it, she puts more water on me to get rid of the cold stuff she put on me. First she puts that stuff on me, then washes it off with more water. I wish she would make up her mind. I am totally freaked out. I was hoping I was all done getting water put on me. I can tell she knows how scared I am and is hurrying to finish.

At this time, she wraps me in a towel and cradles me in her arms. While she holds me, she rubs me with the towel. The entire time she towels me off, she tells me what a good girl I was during my bath. Maybe 'bath' is her name for my water treatment.

After she towels me somewhat dry and calms me down, she opens the door and puts me on the floor. Freedom! I am free to run as far away from this water treatment room as possible.

A little while later, when my fur has dried, I get to be brushed. I cannot wait - I absolutely love being brushed!
