Let us start with the plot. The game begins with Joker being captured and admitted into Arkham Asylum. Also, on the same day, hundreds of prisoners from Blackgate Prison have to be moved to Arkham Asylum because of a fire in the prison. Joker then uses the Blackgate Prisoners to take over Arkham Asylum. He then, with the help of Poison Ivy, develops a serum that turns people into super strong hulking meat men. He plans to inject the serum into the water supply, turning all of Gotham's citizens into his henchmen. Batman must stop him before it is too late, and Joker eventually takes over the world.
The graphics are awesome, of course, considering this game is on the Xbox 360. But there are also lots of fun glitches, such as the fact that you can fly a super long distance if you jump correctly. But when the graphics are working, they are crystal clear.
Then there is the great way the game works. The controls and fighting are seamless. If you want, you can cycle through all of your gadgets (you can have up to 9) in less than 5 seconds. This is very important, considering slow gadget switching may cause you to get hit or shot.
Now let's move on to the bad guys. There are a few kinds of bad guys. There are ones with no weapons, ones with baseball bats, ones with knives, onces with tazers, the ones with guns, and then there are the hulking meat heads. The ones with baseball bats and the ones with no weapons are the easiest to fight. You can basically just punch and kick them. The ones with tazers, knives, and guns are more difficult. If they have knives or tazers, you can run up to them, vault over their heads, then punch them. The ones with guns are much harder. You either have to take them down using stealth, or you have to scare them enough that they drop their weapons. Last but not least, there are the meat heads. To kill them, you have to hit them in the face with a batarang while they are charging you. Once you hit them, the game will go into slow motion, and you have to dive out of the way, or else you will get hit and lose a lot of life.
So that's pretty much it for this game. It's incredible, and was rated as one of the best games of 2009. I would rate it a 10 out of 10. This is a great game. It is Rated T for Teen.
