Batman Begins: The Best of Em' All

I have seen all of the batman films that have come out and without a doubt I must say that Batman Begins is the best one. Batman Begins traces back to the in depth history of the formation of Batman that Bruce Wayne goes through. It is an excellent film and I strongly recommend this film to everyone of all ages who will love tihs film.

The role of Batman and billionare Bruce Wayne is played by Christian Bale. At first I wasn't sure how he would do as Batman because I don't know much about him. But after seeing the film he was great for the role. His deep voice and strong personality made him a perfect fit for the role.

Batman Begins starts off with the childhood of Bruce Wayne, living in the mansion wih his beloved parents who own most of Gotham City. His father is a philanthropist who gives back to the city. The film also shows how as a child he became afriad of bats as he fell down a hole in a cave filled with bats.

The role of the butler is played by Michael Cain and I always love the films that he is in and he is really great as the butler. He has great chemistry with Christian Bale and is also perfect for the role.

The film also shows how Bruce became childhood friends with a little girl named Rachael, played by Katie Holmes whose good looks and acting were terrific.

As the story goes, tragedy strikes the Wayne family as his parents are killed by a mugger as they come out of a movie theater. Later on in the film, as Bruce comes back from college, he tells the butler Alfred that he is going on a journey and doesn't know whether he will be back.

That is when the film traces back to Bruce Wayne's life as a criminal, getting to know what poverty really means, and finding himself arrested and thrown in an Asian prison. There he encounters Raz Al Goul who teaches him to confront his fears of bats and become a true warrior and the way of the league of shadows ninjas. Bruce Wayne goes through extreme treatment in fighting in confronting his fears. He learns to use tactics such as smoke to disappear and become unnoticed. In his final training day he confronts his fears about bats and conquers his fears.

Then he is told of the secret plot to destroy Gotham city which is rotting with corruption. Just like Rome and Constantinople had been destroyed by the leauge of shadows, so too will Gotham City. Bruce decides he cannot let them happen. He fights Ra's al Goul and the place is burnt down and Ra's Al goul is killed in the fire. However Bruce Wayne saves his assistant who helped him train.

When Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham city, he works with the Morgan Freeman who plays the role of a scientist who works for Wayne Enterprises. Freeman shows him the equipment he has been using such as the miltary gear, armor, weapons, an electromagnetic cape, and a giant car in the shape of a tank that would become the batman mobile. These are some of my favorite scenes when Morgan Freeman shows the weapons and armor that the modern day batman would wear. Bruce Wayne also creates a section in his mansion for the Batman cave.

Bruce Wayne takes on the identity of Batman because he wants his opponents to share his fear of bats. Using the night darkness he takes on the city's mob boss named Falcone. He also gets to the man in charge which is Dr. Crane who plays the role of the "Scarecrow" a villian in Batman comics. Batman finds out the the Scarecrow has been poisoning the water with a toxin that if airborne makes people go crazy and kill each other.

The plot really takes off when Ra's Al Goul's apprentice goes to Bruce Wayne's house and burns down his mansion. Wayne is left for dead and rescued by his butler Alfred.

In the final scenes of the film, the new villain takes control of a weapons that increases pressure and can make the toxin go airborne. The citizens of Gotham begin killing each other. Batman arrives on the scene and battles Ra's Al Goul's apprentice. The villain is killed and Batman saves the day. When Katie Holmes realizes the Batman is her long time friend Bruce Wayne, the two kiss at the end but Rachael Dawe's believes that Batman is not the same as Bruce Wayne that she fell in love as a child and she leaves him. In the end, Alfred and Bruce Wayne walk into the background as they talk about repairing the mansion.

As I stated before, I loved this film. I strongly recommend it to everyone and ti is by far the best Batman film created.
