The first application I would like to introduce you to is called battery magic. I find this is one of the most useful utilities I have on my iPod touch. There are both a free version and a paid version of this application. I have the pro version, which actually updated not too long ago. With the latest updates, you can customize the battery meter with your own picture or use one of the several preset designs. This application will tell you all of the useful information about your battery life and your device including:
1. What your device is
2. Your operating system
3. Disc capicity
4. Available disk space
5. Song capacity available
The next options tell you how much time you have for each feature; it states it as though you would use all of your batter power for that one specific feature:
1. 3d Game play
2. Game Play (regular)
3. Re-charge (a personal detailed favorite) to have 100% battery power
4. Wi-Fi Internet
5. Video Playback
6. Audio Playback
7. Read/ Write Email
8. Standby Time
9. Movie Recharge
10. Location Servcies (simply tells you whether this feature is on or off since it does take battery to keep it going)
Another great thing about this application is that it automatically adds features that take up battery power. Like recently added the kindle application so now it will tell me how much "kindle reading time" I have left before the battery dies.
And to think, this is just on the main page! Now comes the customizable options! Let's review the contents on the main page first. First, if you don't want any lavish theme on your battery, you can choose a "fill color" you can also choose the the font size you can also toggle the sound affects of the application. Recharging options include reapeating an alert when it is fully charge (like an alarm of sorts) and you can tell the application to dim the screen while it's charging. Finally there is maintainence. This helps you to maximize the capicty of your battery power and the application will actually alert you when you should perform maintaince.
Back toward the top of the page, you will see three more buttons: "Tips", "Customize theme" and "Our Apps".
Tips will give you tips on maximizing the capcity of your personal device. customizing the theme allows you to change the battery filler with a preset picture, or your own photo. and the "our apps" button redirects you to their website where you can see other applications provided by the same company.
So if you ever wondered, say how much Internet usage you can get out of your battery power, battery magic will tell you. I definitely recommend the pro version of this application and give it 5 stars! If you try it out because of this review, let me know!
