Batting a Thousand

How Does This Strike You?

Lee Hansen

The World Series will soon begin for baseball enthusiasts. As a child it seemed we always traveled to visit my grandparents out of town during the pennant races. I still have fond memories of my grandfather sitting in his recliner cheering his New York Yankees to victory. And to this day I always reflect back to those times when the World Series begins.

But if you're living in Raytown, MO you can get ahead of the game in your baseball pursuits.

WHAT: Raytown Wolverines Baseball Tryouts

LOOKING FOR: 10U AA competitive baseball team players for the 2012 Spring/Summer season

All positions are open on a competitive basis.

If you're especially talented in the areas of pitching, catching and speed you have a definite advantage of being selected.

They are looking not only for athleticism but also a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

PRACTICE AT: Raytown local parks

GAMES PLAYED AT: Lee's Summit Legacy Park

WINTER PRACTICE: Indoor venues

It is anticipated that the teams will play in 5-7 tournaments, including state level.

Those interested in trying out or in need of more information can contact Coach Thomas Floyd at 816-353-4562. His email address is slickfloyd69@hotmail.com.

If baseball is something that gets your competitive adrenaline flowing, this might just be the thing for you to involve yourself with.

Sounds great Lee. I am having problems with the links at the end of my articles ever since AC did their maintenance Monday and Tuesday. This happened last time too.

I'm not an avid baseball fan but I do like to occasionally attend a live baseball game~It's better than watching it on tv in my opinion~
