Battle of the Antiperspirant Deodorants: Ban Original Roll-On Vs. Degree Invisible Solid

Ann
You can really tell how well a deodorant is working when the weather starts to get warm. There are many different options available when it comes to antiperspirants and deodorants and sometimes those options can be a little overwhelming. I feel like I've tried them all and to this day, I haven't found one I'm completely satisfied with. The two I've tried most recently are Ban Original Roll-On and Degree Invisible Solid. While they both work okay, neither lives up to what I expect.

Ban Original Roll-On has a great scent. One drawback is that it goes on really wet and requires a lot of drying time before you are able to put your clothes on. Also, while the scent is great, it doesn't last as long as I would like it to and I find myself having to reapply this roll-on several times throughout the day. The price is good, expect to pay around $2 for a bottle of it. So far, the bottle has lasted a long time and I haven't had to purchase more for a while. This product also tends to leave a ring around your underarm. The design on the bottle is a boring green and there is no appeal to the bottle visually.

Degree Spring Fusion also has a really great scent. It is a stick deodorant, but surprisingly it goes on nearly as wet as the Ban Original Roll-On. Even still, it does dry quicker and I am able to dress faster. As far as how long it lasts, there really is no difference between the two products. I apply the Degree as often as I apply the Ban. With the Ban, however, when reapplying, it is necessary to keep your clothes off your skin for a longer period of time while waiting for the deodorant to dry. The Degree Spring Fusion deodorant stick is in a blue bottle with a cool check mark on top and is in more attractive packaging. The cost is somewhat less than the Ban Original Roll-On, but not enough to persuade me either way. With the Degree Spring Fusion, the ring around the armpit tends to be not as noticeable. When completely dry, the Degree tends to cake to your clothes more so than the Ban Original Roll-On does.

What I catch myself doing with these two products is switching them from day to day. I tend to use the Degree Spring Fusion more only because of the drying time. When you are in a hurry to leave, waiting for the Ban Original Roll-On isn't always an easy thing to do. What I do like about the Ban is other than the ring it can sometimes leave, when dry, it does tend to be less noticeable when wearing sleeveless shirts.

Like I stated, I've tried just about every deodorant and antiperspirant available, but when it comes to the Ban Original Roll-On and the Degree Invisible solid, it's hard to pick a favorite. I tend to think I favor the Degree Invisible solid, but both products have their pros and cons. Are either exactly what I want? Absolutely not. My ideal antiperspirant and deodorant would have and unbelievable scent, maybe something flowery, be completely invisible, regardless of what I was wearing, would last all day, and in now way, shape, or form leave anything on my shirts. I've decided this product doesn't exist and for now I will stick with these two. Although neither is perfect to me, they are both a far cry better than some of the other antiperspirants and deodorants I've tried in the past. Some of those include Dove, Suave, and many others. If anyone knows of one any better, feel free to leave me a comment. I have always taken recommendations from friends when it comes to deodorant and I'm always looking for something better.
