Now don't you think we should come down to issue of comparisons of my pet pair of pens? First of all the looks: - Lexi IQ always shows her level of capacity to serve me by her transparent look whereas Parker Ball Pen having a colorful outlook cannot do so but the color can help me locate the her when misplaced. Then as far as the question of the clear and smudge-free writing is concerned, I would vote for Parker Ball Pen for cent per cent marks as against Lexi IQ. But please do not get carried away by this opulent statement because humble also have their own importance as every coin has two faces; head and tail! I have noticed that be it Parker Ball Point pen or Lexi IQ pen, each have their own promoters, their capability to sustain many ruthless competitors, the dedication of their originators to produce best quality products which can sustain hardnosed consumers like this old person called prem.! Ha! Not only that, it also depends largely on how wide and far Lexi IQ or Parker Ball Pen and may be many other names and their likes falling in this jurisdiction of wide coverage (could be global).
Most of these Ball Pens whether Lexi or Parker have precision engineered minute metal ball placed within the thinner end part of the ink refill, with the ink having a specific consistency, specific-gravity and pigment density which in turn play a vital roll in giving us continuous writing pleasure with consistent thickness of the of the written line. Smudginess of ink is due to variation of specific gravity during variation in room temperature. Lately, I have acquired a Ball Pen with calendar for 2007, which can be pulled with the help of a tin puller and the moment it is released, the calendar gets retracted. Then my son recently acquired an imported Chinese ball pen with laser blue bulb and when switch is pressed, it functions like a torch. I have also seen some Ball Pens with small compass attached on top and some are available with "Spirit-level" attached to it so that one can check the elevation. To top it all the goodwill of Parker has been created on a consistent and sustained customer-satisfaction, Better R&D efforts of the company and scientifically & closely monitored image-building efforts by the marketing team of the company. If a company can survive severe competition from its major and minor competitors for more than a century, it speaks a lot in favor of its product quality. With this my short tryst with Lexi IQ Pen and Parker Ball Pen ends.
