Battlefield: Bad Company: How to Unlock the QBU88, M60, Uzi, F2000, and USA512

Detailed Instructions on How to Acquire All the Weapons in the "Find All Five" Program.

Benjamin Sell
Has this ever happened to you? You're playing Battlefield: Bad Company online, doing your part to defend your base, only to suddenly find yourself dead at the hands of an enemy with a new and frightening weapon you yourself have no access to?

If you're like me, your first thought is, "where did he get that thing and where can I get one?" Well, I am now the proud owner of all five of the special weapons unlockable through the "Find all Five" program, and with my help, you can be too.

Weapon #1:The QBU88 Sniper Rifle

The most powerful of the semi-automatic sniper rifles, the QBU88 is the only one without a silencer.

It's also probably the hardest of the Find All Five weapons to unlock. You need a pre-order code from a retailer or from EA online. The game has been out for awhile now, so chances are slim, but many Gamestop and EB Games locations got an additional shipment of pre-order codes shortly after the Bad Company's launch. There is a small chance that if you go in and ask, you might be able to get a hold of one of the codes. Be aware, that there has been an issue with the pre-order codes, and many people who enter them are finding themselves unlocking the M60 instead of the QBU88. If this happens to you, email EA and they can usually resolve the issue within a few days.

Weapon #2:The M60 Light Machine Gun

The M60 is an amazingly-effective LMG, with decent accuracy and damage. Personally, I love the gun, but find the iron sight to be a bit annoying.

To get your very own M60, all you have to do is sign up for the Battlefield newsletter at preferences.fun.ea.com. EA will send you a confirmation email. Just confirm your account, and wait for your code to arrive via email. Then enter it on the "unlock" screen under the multiplayer menu.

Weapon #3: The Uzi Submachine Gun

Great rate of fire and decent damage make the Uzi very effective in tight quarters. To unlock it, download the Battlefield: Bad Company demo from either Xbox Marketplace or the Playstation Store and play until you reach level 4. This is a bit time consuming, and your stats don't carry over into the full game, but for weapons collectors, the time is well worth it. The Uzi should be unlocked the next time you play online in the full game.

Weapon #4:The F2000 Assault Rifle

The F2000 has an amazing rate of fire; you'll be burning through clips at an amazing rate. It's also the coolest-looking of the assault rifles, in my opinion.

To unlock it, players must go to veteran.battlefield.com and register at least one previous game in the battlefield series. For PC games pre-Battlefield 2, you'll need your cd keys. For Battlefield 2 and beyond, all you need is to be registered in the EA system and have played at least one game online. Those without EA.com accounts will need to create one. Simply log into the website, enter your old cd keys or indicate which of your EA personas you've used to play online, and you're good to go. The F2000 should be unlocked the next time you play online. You'll also get a number indicating your veteran status next to your name on the in-game score screen.

Weapon #5:The USA512 Shotgun

This semi-automatic scattergun is amazingly effective at close range with a clip big enough to dispatch several enemies at once.

To unlock the USA512, you need to register on the battlefield website, then check your stats online. First, go to http://badcompany.ea.com and click the "register" link in the top right hand corner of the screen. Once you've registered and logged in, head to http://badcompany.ea.com/myprofile/ and check out your stats. The site is actually quite interesting, it breaks down your kills by kit, weapon, vehicle, etc... and is very detailed. Take some time to check it out, and the next time you log into Battlefield: Bad Company, you should have a nifty new shotgun to play with.

That's it, the simple ways you can unlock five fantastic weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company. I hope you've found what you were looking for here, and I'll see you on the battlefield.
