Battle.net Revamped by Blizzard Entertainment

Warcraft Players Rejoice

Thomas Kearo
Today, Blizzard has unsheathed their cutting edge new edition of Battle.net/ If you've been around for a while and experienced Battle.net, you'll rejoice at this improvement.

One of the key changes the Blizzard has implemented allows you to connect all of your accounts to a single username and password. So, if you play Diablo, Warcraft and WoW at the same time, you'll now be able to rid yourself of the tedium of remember all those passwords. Blizzard has heightened their edge over the competition by allowing users to conveniently play all of their games.

With World of Warcraft being the most popular Blizzard game to date, it's important to focus on any changes that will be made to your fantasy world lifestyle. So how does it affect us?

As it stands right now, you are able to make a Battle.Net account and merge it with your World of Warcraft account, but it's not required. In the near future, in order to provide ease of use and convenience to it's audience, Blizzard is making it a requirement to have your two accounts linked. In regard to upcoming games on deck for release, Blizzard had this to say:

"all future Blizzard Entertainment games such as StarCraft II and Diablo III will require Battle.net Accounts".

Are you a fan that still can't pull yourself away from the Old-School look? Have no fear, Battle.Net Classic is here. If you're still playing some of Blizzards classic games, you'll still be able to use your old login, keep your stats, friends, and personalizations by using Battle.Net Classic.

Some of the more popular questions posed by players at this time include:

Question: How do I log in if I've merged multiple World of Warcraft accounts?

Answer: In short, Blizzard has maintained their cooperation with those of us that have multiple WoW accounts. You'll be prompted after log in to choose which account you'd like to play.

Question: I already have a classic Battle.net account that I made for StarCraft, Warcraft III, and/or Diablo II. Can I just use that?

Answer: No, not at the present time. You'll need to make a new Battle.Net account for the new games to be included.

Question: Why will Battle.net accounts be mandatory to play World of Warcraft in the future?

Answer: They say it will be necessary in order to present the highest quality entertainment they can. It will also allow players updates or patches to be more readily accessible.

That's just some of the upcoming news from Blizzard this morning. Check back in my profile for more updates as information continues to unfold.
