Bawls Guarana G33K B33R: A Review of the Best Energy Drink

Lori Voth
In honor of National Beverage Day, which occurred on the 6th of this month (so I'm a little late), I would like to take a moment to celebrate my latest most favorite beverage product.

The beverages competing to earn this honorable title have been limited to those single serving style drinks often found in the refrigerated cooler section of convenience stores.

Also note that I could not possibly find the time to present and elaborate upon the copious slew of unique beverage brands I have come to know and depend on every single day to quench my thirst after a tedious commute around and about the Boston metro area in which I never fail to arrive home unduly parched. So instead I will restrict my favorite single serving beverage list to the top 5 of the day.

(My attention span tends to be rather fleeting as does my ability to commit; therefore I prefer to take such things as favorite beverage declarations one day at a time.)

Despite this hyperactive quality within me, however, I can say that the top beverage on my favorite beverage of the day list has been in the award winning position for about four months now, solid. This really says a lot. There are so many great single serving beverages out there on the market. Also note that while constructing this list it dawned on me that in actuality my love for the item in slot number one was so intense that I did not feel satisfied rating any other beverages as only one notch to four notches below it in quality. So I have since decided that all items in the top five will be dedicated to the same incredible beverage product.

That product is the almighty Root Beer Energy Drink which goes by the official name of Bawls Guarana G33K B33R.

I'd say that hands down without a doubt this bottled beverage I've chosen for the number 1-5 slots on my favorite beverage products list is not just mildly superior to all the items I could choose for slot 6 and the decreasing rankings to follow, but this drink completely annihilates the competition.

I love this root beer beverage so much I would probably be willing to spend a grueling day in the hot sun or other unsatisfactory weather condition- no scratch that, I'd spend a whole week- volunteering to star in a commercial for it for absolutely no pay. The drink is everything I am looking for in a beverage:

*Refreshing
*Very highly caffeinated
*Perfect amount of sweetness
*Thirst quenching
*Slick packaging
*Decently priced

I wasn't entirely fond of the title of this fine energizing beverage when it first reached out to me on the refrigerated cooler shelf of my unusually hip and 70% organic local convenience store. To be honest I probably never would have bought it if I had not spotted the finely printed "High Caffeine" description marked on the face of the brown bottle. But I do agree the Bawls brand name is fitting now that- well- now that Bawls Guarana G33K B33R and I have been making a regular appearance together.

The second I saw that detail, along with an additional alert on the back reading, "Warning: This product contains high levels of caffeine", I was a little bit surprised but even more so a little bit excited. I am a root beer fanatic, always have been. It's actually the only soft drink besides Dr. Pepper that I really truly enjoy the taste of.

Unfortunately, though I prefer caffeinated drinks and as you may or may not have noticed root beer seems to be universally caffeine free regardless of brand name. And because I seem to be incessantly tired all the time and can always use a little extra boost I usually opt out of root beer soda when I'm thirsty and go for the less tasty Coca Cola Classic instead, which is far from the ideal scenario.

You can imagine, then, how delighted I was when the back of the Bawls G33K B33R bottle actually warned me about the caffeine content. I think I probably smiled to myself while standing there in the store admiring the newly discovered product or possibly even let out a yelp of glee and did a little jig with my feet. It was a great discovery, though again really quite surprising. I can say confidently that I have probably scoured every convenience store in my city and other areas I've ever had the occasion to travel to for a unique brand of root beer that contained caffeine; to no avail.

But here, not only was this caffeinated root beer right there before my eyes but the major source of extra energy in the beverage apparently comes from Guarana. Guarana is an ingredient that offers twice the amount of caffeine than what one can obtain from coffee. Some studies have also shown it to be an effective antioxidant, a booster in fat reduction and a memory and concentration aid. Guarana is a major ingredient in many of the latest popular energy drinks.

"Finally!" is probably more like what I exclaimed aloud if anything. It sounded like the perfect drink.

And oh I can assure you that it was and is truly still the perfect drink. Or at least for the time being but as I mentioned the time being is going on a few months now. Oh, wow is this drink delicious; my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

The only downfall of Bawls Guarana G33K B33R Caffeinated Root Beer beverage is that it seems to be somewhat difficult to find in stores. The company appears to reach out to high energy workaholic types particularly in the science and technology industries as well as those involved in extreme sports such as BMX Biking as its target audience. It makes sense why the only places I've managed to track down the product are in more locally owned mini mart type stores in my area with the exception of Micro Center, the hip extreme techie geek friendly computer store of all computer stores, which amusingly offers the root beer in bulk.

If you can find it though, I highly recommend this beverage and I additionally suggest buying several to stock up just in case. If you like root beer and caffeine you will undoubtedly love this.
