Bayern Munich Through to Champions League Final After Olic Hat-trick

Bayern Munich have beat Lyon in the Champions League semi final by three goals to nil, and by four goals over the two legs. Bayern can now look forward to the Champions League final at the Bernabeu on May 22th. Bayern Munich have been in 7 Champions League finals, four of which they have won. They last won in 2001, so they are long overdue another victory.

In fairness Lyon made it easy for Bayern over the two legs. Bayern went into the second leg with a one goal advantage so Lyon had it all to do. However Olic got a goal for Bayern Munich in the first half, meaning the French side needed three to progress. Things only got worse when Cris was sent off for two quick yellow cards leaving Lyon down to ten men. At that point they seemed to believe the tie was beyond their reach. Olic confirmed this with two more goals.

It is still to be decided who Bayern Munich will play in the Champions League Final next month. Inter Milan and Barcelona will play tomorrow evening, Wednesday April 28^th for the right to be in the Champions League final. The next question will be can Bayern Munich beat either Inter Milan or Barcelona. Only time will tell
