Baymont Inn and Suites: On the Strip in Branson, MO

Jacob Horn
This Baymont Inn is located at 1000 West Main Street in Branson, MO 65616. Their telephone number is 417-334-1985. If you are traveling on Highway 65 take the exit for Highway 76 / West Main Street and when you near the end of the exit ramp you should see the Baymont Inn. It is less than a quarter of a mile from both exits (going toward the Strip).

Our check in date was 12-18-10 and our check out date was 12-20-10. We booked through Hotels.com and we paid a total of $128.10 for our entire stay. There is an indoor pool, exercise room, and internet in the rooms. There is also a little office on the first floor where you can use the computer in addition to printing. We actually needed to print off a few coupons so this really came in handy.

We enjoyed great service the whole time. When we were eating breakfast down in the lobby on Sunday, a mother came down with her three kids. It was obvious she was having a difficult time eating her breakfast in addition to helping her kids eat their own breakfast. One of the workers at the Baymont Inn actually held the mother's little baby for a solid 10-15 minutes to all the mother to eat. I was very impressed by this gesture and during my conversations with this lady I was amazed at how pleasant she was. If I have to nitpick, I will point out that when we were checking in one of the workers behind the desk checked something on their cellphone. This worker was not actually assisting us at the time and while it did not affect us at all I could see how some people could get upset by this.

The room and hotel were very clean. The elevator and hallways did seem a little dreary and drab. That being said, let me reiterate that it was very clean. I would say that it was a tiny step down from the likes of Hampton and Comfort Inn. Our rate of $60 a night was also a step down. Hampton Inn was in the neighborhood of $75 a night along with Fairfield Inn. Comfort Inn was closer to $100 a night. The bathtub in the room has a jet propulsion system (in other words it is similar to a whirlpool). If you love Dexter you will be happy to hear that Showtime does come with the room.

The continental breakfast was very good both days. On Sunday they did have gravy and biscuits and they did not have this on Monday. They had cereal, bagels, donuts (a large variety on Sunday), waffles, toast, yogurt, and two different juices (orange and apple).

After comparing prices I really felt like we got a steal at the Baymont Inn. It is very conveniently located (right between the Strip and Branson Landing). If you read my review on the Farmhouse Restaurant you know that you have to go to Branson Landing. It is a beautiful place. It was less than two miles from the Dixie Stampede and it was within 10 minutes of the Tanger Outlets if not closer. It was easy to get in and out of. Parking was not an issue. I would definitely recommend staying at the Baymont Inn seeing that if we return to Branson it will be one of the first places we call.
