(BATON ROUGE, La) The Bayou Country Superfest organizers held a press conference Wednesday morning, October 12, 2011 at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, LA to announce the lin- up of country music artists for the 3rd Annual Bayou Country Superfest to be held on Memorial Day weekend in Tiger Stadium.
Quint Davis opened the press conference at approximately 9:45 stating that the organizers of the Bayou Country Superfest would be maintaining the quality of the artists performing in 2012. He also announced that instead of having one main closing act each night that the festival would have two main closing acts on both Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27, 2012.
Davis also told the press that the concerts would be pushed back one hour to allow for the sun to set, cooler temperatures and to allow the two closing acts to have access to the big screens after dark in Tiger Stadium for their performances.
Davis went on to say that Bayou Country Superfest is the largest concert in Louisiana and one of the largest concerts in the United States. He plans to make it the largest concert festival in the U.S.in the future with continued improvements in delivering excellent music from the top country music artists in the United States to Tiger Stadium packed with almost 100,000 fans.
After referring to the concert by the initials of "BCS" and saying they were also a "BCS" in front of LSU officials and the press in Tiger Stadium and getting no laughs, Davis went on to announce the country music artists who would be performing for the 3rd Annual Bayou Country Superfest.
