Bayou Country Superfest Fans Fill Tiger Stadium to Hear Tim McGraw

Bayou Country Superfest was a big hit yesterday with thousands of fans flocking into Tiger Stadium to hear some of the best artists in the country music field.

Fans also enjoyed the early "tailgating" atmosphere during the day in the parkiing lot outside of Tiger Stadium as local acts on the Bud Light stage geared up for the big name acts to follow inside Tiger Stadium. Numerous booths were also set up in the parking lot and were maintained by local radio stations, businesses and the Baton Rouge Area Visitors and Convention Bureau for the out of state guests.

Performing at Bayou Country Superfest yesterday were Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, Josh Thompson, Sugarland and Tim McGraw, who closed out the night with a super show.

Josh Thompston opened the show with his latested hit single "Won't Be Lonely Long" as fans were still entering Tiger Stadium at 4:00 pm. It wasn't long before he had the crowd rocking, clapping and screaming for more.

Luke Bryan really got the crowd going as the second performer in the lineup yesterday afternoon and kept the crowd on their feet for a super energized performance. Bryan encouraged the crowd to sing along and pretty much brought down the house with his hit, "All My Friends". Other crowd favorites Bryan performed were "Do I" and his latest hit "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)".

Trace Adkins, a Louisiana native, was next in the lineup to perform and delivered his music with his traditional deep voice. Adkins had the crowd screaming with "This Ain't No Love Song" and turned it up a notch for "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" where the crowd went absolutely wild. Photos of the crowd were shown on the giant video screens set up in the stadium during the Honky Tonk performance to add even more fun to the hillarious party song.

Sugarland, a crowd favorite, didn't dissapoint with a mixture of slow ballads, pure country (with Nettles' twang) and a bit of pop with "All I Want To Do". Jennifer Nettles of the Sugarland duo delivered powerful vocals and encouraged the crowd to sing along with "Everyday America" and brought silence from the crowd as she performed "Stay".

And finally Tim McGraw took to the massive stage and performed hit after hit with fantastic light shows and the video screens running throughout the stadium for a full blown production. McGraw delivered a great show and drew the crowd in to sing along with several songs. McGraw is also a Louisiana native opened his performance by saying, "Thank ya'll for having me back home tonight!"

Bayou Country Superfest is being recorded both days so tapes can be sent overseas to the military so our troops can enjoy some downhome country music.

The fun started all over on Sunday as Lee Brice, Jason Michael Carroll, Billy Currington, Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney all take turns to dazzle the crowd.
