Bayou Country Superfest Promoters Announce 2011 Music Lineup, Headlining Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw

A press conference was held at 11:00 am on October 27, 2010 by the Bayou Country Superfest promoters to announce the music lineup for the 2011 Bayou Country Superfest, which will be held on Memorial Day weekend, May 28-29, 2011, in Tiger Stadium on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, LA.

Country music superstars Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw will be the headliners, one on each day of the festival. Chesney was one of the main acts last year and returns in 2011 to close out the festival on Sunday night.

The 2011 Bayou Country Superfest will be held Memorial Day weekend and will become an annual concert event headlining only the best in country music. The 2011 Bayou Country Superfest will feature performances by Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Sugarland, Billy Currington, Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Thompson and Lee Brice.

Other acts will be added to the lineup and will perform as warm-up acts throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday and also on stages set up outside Tiger Stadium.

Tickets for tthe Bayou Country Superfest will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. LSU students, faculty and staff were offered special pricing for pre-sale tickets immediately following the press conference today. Parking tickets will also go on sale on November 10, 2010.

Last year's Bayou Country Superfest drew a record crowd close to 100,000 people on each day of the festival. Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift were the headliners for the first Bayou Country Superfest and were joined by Brooks and Dunn, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Kellie Pickler, Jake Owen and more.

Bayou Country Superfest 2010 told tickets from over 1,702 ticket outlets with ticket sales to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and even military personnel stationed in Germany at the time.

Kip Holden, the mayor for the city of Baton Rouge was on hand at the press conference and once again welcomed visitors to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the weekend long music event. Last year hotel rooms were booked solid in the immediate area for the holiday weekend due to the huge concert event. Revenues soared for local restaurants also, as the festival pulled in thousands of people from out of state.

Tickets for the 2011 Bayou Country Superfest will be available through all ticketmaster outlets and will go on sale on November 10, 2010. Packages will be available for single days or for both days of the event.
