What To Expect
RV sites at Bayou Shores RV Resort are full hook-up meaning that they have water, sewer and electrical service at each RV site on the property. There are "waterfront sites on the bay" available as well as 10 pull-thru sites. There are a total of over 80 RV sites on the property, 30 or 50 amp electrical service and rates charged depend on the amount of time the RVer will be staying in the RV Resort.
On the property, RVers who choose to stay here will have access to a children's playground, restrooms with showers, a boat ramp and fishing pier, ice, fax and copy service on-site and swimming. There is also a 24 hour manager on-site, a laundry room, a restaurant and bar, a dog walking area and a picnic area.
Good and Bad
As with any RV Resort, Bayou Shores RV Resort has it's good points and its bad points. The good points are it's waterfront sites, the nice view it offers, Good Sam discount that is available for Monday through Thursday, the ease of getting off and on I-45 and it's friendly office staff. The bad points are that the restrooms and showers do not always work correctly, the close proximity of some of the sites to the bar on the property and the small size of the RV sites themselves.
Attractions Nearby
Moody Gardens, the Rainforest Pyramid and the Colonel Paddlewheel are all located about a mile away from Bayou Shores RV Resort on Hope Boulevard in Galveston.
Schlitterbahn Water Park is also about a mile away from the RV Resort on Lockheed Road in Galveston.
The Lonestar Flight Museum is a little over a mile southwest of the RV Resort on Terminal Drive, Galveston.
Bishop's Palace is nearly four miles northeast of the RV Resort and Moody Mansion is nearly three miles northeast of the RV Resort both on Broadway Street.

Whataburger is located .3 miles southeast of the RV Resort on Stewart Road in Galveston.
Taco Bell is located .8 miles north of the RV Resort on Broadway Street in Galveston.
Sonic is located 1 mile south of the RV Resort on Seawall Boulevard in Galveston.
Popeye's is located almost a mile southeast of the RV Resort on 61st Street in Galveston.
McDonald's is located almost a mile south of the RV Resort on Seawall Boulevard in Galveston.
Restaurants
El Duranquense Mexican Restaurant is located .2 miles southeast of the RV Resort on Stewart Road in Galveston.
On Seawall Boulevard there are several restaurants, all from almost a mile away to over two miles away. Restaurants on Seawall Boulevard include Rainforest Café, Golden Corral, Landry's, Ihop, Gaido's and The Spot.
On 61st Street in Galveston there are even more restaurants that are less than a mile away from the RV Resort. These restaurants include Waffle House, Yamato Japanese Restaurant, Mario's Ristorante and The Cajun Greek.
