While The Apprentice was popular in its own right, Trump seems to have taken some advice from other shows like Celebrity Fit Club and is going for the drama factor. However, the celebrities chosen aren't always the same type of celebrity that you and I would think of.
In Season 1 of Celebrity Apprentice, Trump showcased America's Got Talent judge, Piers Morgan (who won the competition), Trace Adkins, Carol Alt, Lennox Lewis, Stephen Baldwin, Omarosa, Tito Ortiz, Marilu Henner, Nely Galán, Vincent Pastore, Jennie Finch, Gene Simmons, Nadia Comaneci and Tiffany Fallon.
Judging by the eclectic cast list released by E! Online, the Trumps are definitely in for some drama. One of the ladies on the female team is former Baywatch star and Playboy Bunny Brande Roderick in her first appearance since the widely unseen film, Toxic.
Originally an erotic film star, Roderick's best known role was her stint on Baywatch as lifeguard, Leigh Dyer. In 2000, she was crowned Playmate of the Month in Playboy magazine and in 2001, she became Playmate of the Year. Since her days on Baywatch, Roderick has been featured in films Starsky & Hutch and The Nanny Diaries. She is competing for California Police Youth Charities.
The rest of the female team are:
Inseparable mother-daughter team Joan and Melissa Rivers
TLC singer Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins
Reality star Kloe Kardashian
World Series of Poker champion Annie Duke
Pro-golfer Natalie Gulbis
Deal or No Deal briefcase holder Claudia Jordan.
The men's team are comprised of:
Sandra Bullock hubby and former Monster Garage host Jesse James
Comedian and often disgusting Tom Green
Olympic gold-winning figure skater Scott Hamilton
NBA rebel Dennis Rodman
Comedian Andrew Dice Clay
NFL star and former Heisman winner Herschel Walker
Country singer Clint Black
R&B crooner Brian McKnight
The celebrities are competing for such charities as Stand Up for Kids, Refugees International, Lili Claire Foundation and the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia.
Accompanying Donald Trump in the boardroom this season will be children Ivanka and Donald Jr. An old colleague of Trump's, George Ross, will occasionally be featured, as will a group of unnamed industry leaders filling the "rotating seat" of judges.
