I purchased my Bazooka Subwoofer MBTA10200 to be used in my 2002 Jeep Wrangler. After trying to decide between the MBTA8200 and MBTA10200 I did some precise measuring and determined that the MBTA10200 should fit nicely behind my backseat, and it does. The Marine BT Series offers many different types of subwoofers, in several different sizes, and some have built in amplifiers. MY MBTA10200 was a 10'' speaker with a built in 200 watt amplifier.
My Bazooka Subwoofer MBTA10200 arrived nicely packaged and well protected from the manufacturer. It included all of the instructions, security straps, wiring harness, and a nifty sound CD. Hooking up my Bazooka Subwoofer was relatively easy and can be done quickly by anyone with working knowledge of speakers.
I use the Alpine CDA 9886 series head unit with my Bazooka Subwoofer and find the clarity of sound to be excellent. The MBTA10200 has minor tuning capabilities built into the speaker and this makes achieving a great bass sound pretty easy even for a novice. I chose the MBTA10200 over the MBTA8200 because I was looking for a little depth in sound. Riding around in a soft top Jeep degrades your sound quality quickly, so I wanted to make sure and have as much power and grunt as possible.
The Marine BT series by Bazooka allows its user a more rigid piece of equipment. Whether you are using these speakers in your boat, Jeep, or convertible, you will find the added insurance of a water proof enclosure to be something worth paying for. I have had the bad fortune of leaving the top down in my Jeep during a surprise rain storm and losing a valuable speaker. My Bazooka Subwoofer MBTA10200 has had everything from mud to water to a rowdy 3 year old thrown at it and it still works as well as it did the day I bought it.
The entire line of the Bazooka Subwoofer Marine BT series of speakers have performed well for me and many of my friends. I would highly recommend this product to anyone searching for a subwoofer that has great sound, and fits in small spaces. I purchased my MBTA10200 through Amazon.com for $299. I hope my Bazooka Subwoofer review helps you in your purchase, enjoy.
