BB12 Recap: Cuddling Couple Goes Up on the Block

Big Brother started off strong on the ratings and overall had a great first episode. For us feed watchers all of this episode as well was new footage too us and it really filled in the missing gaps that we've been wondering about. To start things off talk started immediately about who the saboteur could be. Many believed it was either Brendon or Andrew, since both walked away from the group during the black-out. It was interesting to see where Annie was sitting as she claims she was next to both Britney and Monet. If you watch where she was, it was NOT near these two but on the opposite end of the sofa. As the group split up to talk, Brendon and Rachel began their seclusion as we finally saw what sparked their showmance.

Sitting in the hammock alone, with Annie as well, the two talked about their work in the science field. Brendon revealed that he has his masters in physics while Rachel revealed her work in chemistry. The two chatted for what seemed like a long while about their respective fields, what they have in common and overall that they were both in love with science. It seems like that sealed the deal for Rachel but Brandon was hooked as well. While those two were forming, so was the "Meow Meow Mafia" that Enzo promised to create in the house. He approached Hayden first, since he's the one in charge. He then pulled in Matt, to be the brains, and invisible Lane to be the muscle. It could potentially be a strong alliance but we all know large groups, especially ones formed in the first few days, always crumble: see Four Horsemen and Three Stooges, of seasons past.

There was also another revelation shown in the form of Annie and Ragan. She revealed to him that she has a girlfriend back home, something that Ragan was very happy to learn. It seemed like Ragan would keep the secret as he knows how Annie feels and confiding in him could help her along the road as well, she now has him in her pocket. Following the new clips it was time for the first Have/Have Not challenge of the season. Similar to the first POV of BB10, they had to crawl through caramel liquid, which was VERY sticky, rummage through popcorn to find a tooth piece, crawl back through and place the tooth into a mouth. First two teams to get eight teeth back would have food for the week, the one who didn't would be on slop, have to sleep in the horrible room and get cold showers.

The teams were pretty much even at first until Kathy and Britney were up. The Green team had strong members in Annie/Brendon/Kristen/Lane so they easily came in first place. Towards the end the Pink team of Andrew/Britney/Enzo/Monet were far behind until Enzo found an extra tooth and placed it so Britney only had to crawl through, get the tooth and crawl back. Kathy being stuck for the remainder of the challenge led them to an easy victory though as she got stuck in the caramel on her second go around, forcing her team to lose. That put Kathy, Matt, Rachel and Ragan on the Have-Nots for the week. None of them liked it since they now sleep in a room with bugs and lawn-chairs as beds. It also put speculation on Kathy yet again that she is the saboteur since she sucked, once again, at the challenge. I don't think she's faking that though.

Before nominations there was some more drama featuring the saboteur. Before going to bed, Kathy and Britney had a little cat fight since Kathy said that Britney was the worst at the challenge. She said Britney had it easier since she didn't have to dig the second time, which Britney didn't like to hear. The next morning everyone then awoke to Britney and Kathy have a large X made out of tape over their pictures on the Memory Wall. Everyone took that as a sign that the Saboteur wanted those two up, which Britney once again didn't like. She went immediately to Hayden to tell him that her vote is his vote, basically selling her vote to stay off the block. She wanted Kathy up instead, which Hayden thought about but he had other plans. In the end the one who knew the least about Big Brother placed Brandon and Rachel on the block. Their showmance, which equals an alliance, was obvious to everyone and that was the pure and simple reason they went up. We already know how the next episode will go down, minus the actual sabotage, but it should be an interesting watch indeed.
