BCD Tofu House in Irvine, California: Korean Style Cuisine at Its Best

My friend and I are always looking for new restaurants to try out, but most of the ones we encounter offer the same type of ordinary, almost fast-food style dining. We recently happened to discovered BDC Tofu House in the city of Irvine, California and were immediately drawn by their statement that they use "100 % organic tofu" in all of their tofu dishes. No if I want to eat out, I want to try to eat as healthy as possible, so this was a big plus for us. We decided to give it a try.

Of course the primary entrées at this particular establishment consists of tofu. They offer combination dishes and individual premium tofu dishes in several varieties. Such varieties include: Seafood Premium Tofu, Kimchi Premium Tofu, Curry premium Tofu, Beef Bulgogi & Premium Tofu Combination, Vegetable Premium and combination dishes, and much more. They also offer special larger side dishes such as Salted Seasoning Clam, Seasoned Kimchi, and Cucumber Pickle. Individual Premium Tofu Dishes cost $8.99 and come with the main entrée, rice, and 5 complimentary side dishes that include any of the following (Kimchi, seaweed, fried fish, pickled cucumber, egg, and cold noodles). The Combination Dishes cost $14.99-$15.99.

The food taste and quality here is superb. It is fulfilling and delicious as well. Everything is served fresh and piping hot and you request for the food to be made to the level of spiciness that you prefer. The customer service is decent as well and they are very obliging and answering any questions you may have. The only downside is the waiting time. Because these restaurants are so popular, be prepared to wait. There have been times where I only had to wait 10 minutes, other times, at least 40 minutes, but the food is definitely worth it.

BCD Tofu House has been rapidly expanding and adding more restaurant locations to their chain. They have over several restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area, two of which have recently opened in the cities of Irvine ( the one I frequent) and Fullerton. There also 2 restaurants located in the Seattle, Washington vicinity. They also have locations established internationally in Korea and in Tokyo, Japan.
