BCS Lover Turned into BCS Hater, Thank You John Feinstein

Jacob Horn
If you have read some of my previous blogs on here you know I am a fairly staunch defender of the BCS. I don't think I have ever written a blog, until now, arguing for a playoff system in college. Yes, I know there are a million others out there and I promise to make this short and sweet. For some strange reason, I almost feel like this decision is as drastic as swithcing sides from the Republican Party to the Party of the Democrats. No, this decision is defnitely more important than that one. Moving on, John Feinstein is no Rick Reilly, but he is no slouch either. His article in the December 21, 2009, issue of the Sporting News persuaded me to change my viewpoint on the BCS.

Here is the statement that changed my life, okay maybe that is too much, or is it. "College football at the highest level is the only sport where you can be undefeated and not allowed to compete for a championship." I know that is no new revelation but for some reason, be it the way he said it, worded it, whatever, it has changed my mind. Probably not the biggest award on his mantle and he probably doesn't care a whole lot, who am I kidding not at all, but in 12 years nobody could change my mind on this and he did in one article. Congratufreakalations.
