Be Better

Is this fate,
Do I have the same trait my father had,
That's a bad thought,
He is a bad man in my eyes,
The prize has never been in reach because I didn't have that boost,
I want to change this cycle,
Problems coming from every side,
I want to run and hide like dad did,
I remember being a kid,
Dad didn't care,
Didn't spare his time,
I'm not going to be him,
If your a dad don't be him,
Try for your kids,
Get it in your mind you'd die for your kids,
God help all fathers because mothers have challenges,
Who told you fathers don't?
The government see us as only providers,
And if you lose your job some run away and you can't find us,
That must be real enough for you,
Cause its hard being a good dad,
Its hard even trying to be a good dad,
But don't be to sad because children are joy,
Boy are girl,
They are your world,
Lets do what we have to do as fathers to be better.
