What to do what to do,
I thought I was through,
I have written two poems today.
Thought it would be enough.
But the words attack me,
As if they're saying "tuff"
You will write more,
No way are you through,
We love when you write,
We've got a hold on you.
What to do what to do,
Things to be done,
Am I having fun?
Yes I think,
But is it me,
Or is it words,
That wont let me free?
I'm all shook up,
Trying to be free
Without much luck,
What will be will be?

Post a CommentI'm only free when I write, for the words hold me so tight, but I like the embrace, the unforgettable trace,
Of the gift that's inside, for it reminds me I'm alive.
I love this piece it is beautiful, mystical, and invigerating. It's sturs my giftings up like a bowl of cakemix getting ready to go in the oven....Thanks
The words to not care if you are trying to eat, sleep, or work...They demand your undivided attention right then, or they will run away with your ideas...Great poem.
I know the feeling! You simply cannot rest until the words hit the page! ;-)
Words to attack! They want to be written down, because they are part of our voices!!! Keep on telling it true, Ken! You are so great at writing!
You so inspire me and your advice is always so helpful and well appreciated!
