Be Your Own Wedding Planner

Save Money and Plan Your Own Wedding. If You Need Help Ask a Few Friends for Advice

Be your own Wedding Planner. It is cheaper that way. Use your imagination; decide upon the time, place and food to serve and save money.

Weddings can be held anyplace and at anytime or day. There are no barriers as to what a wedding should look or be like.

Years ago the first time bride wore white. Heck, how many first time brides are there these days? Visit a neighborhood Bridal Store or look in a Bridal Magazine and notice the change in bridal attire. You will be amazed.

These days brides get married in almost any style or color wedding gown. The choice is determined by the bride's taste and what fits.

Look through the rack of bridal gowns and notice the styles of pastel color wedding gowns. The bride can walk down the aisle in Tangerine wedding gowns. Some are lime green and others red and black. Some are black and white and others mauve. Brides can still continue to wear an all white wedding gown.

Brides who have been married more than once, have the choice of wearing all white wedding gowns. To get directly to the point, the style and color of the wedding gown is left completely up to the bride. Brides who are pregnant and getting married have been seen wearing an all white wedding gown in any style.

Not all weddings are the same. I guess, by now you got the idea. Today is the 'anything' goes era! Do or don't wear a veil. It is up to you and your hairstyle. Hold the wedding in or out of doors. If this is your choice then go for it. Get married high in the sky in a Hot Air Balloon or say your vows in your own backyard wearing jeans and a tee shirt.

Ask the guests to dress accordingly. If you are hard pressed for cash, ask the guests to bring a favorite food dish and serve a pot luck dinner.

Say your wedding vows officiated by a Priest, a Rabbi or any other religion. If you choose, get married by a Justice of the Peace or a Notary. There is no specific way that two in love can get married. In this day and age, weddings themes are determined by how much money the bride and groom or family can afford.

Wedding planners can be expensive. If you can afford to pay for their services then go for it. However, if your finances are not that great and you want to get married - plan your own wedding with the help of a few friends. It is fun and adventurous. The most important thing is you will tie the knot legally without breaking the bank.

Weddings no longer need to be expensive. There is no need to have to pay for the wedding long after you are married. Plan your own wedding from where to have it and what food to serve and enjoy your wedding without breaking the bank

Now that I think of it, my second wedding would have been the perfect opportunity to wear yellow, my favorite color!

Back in the olden days, there were no wedding planners, so we did it ourselves!

Very good information. I planned every ounce of my wedding my self. Thankfully my parents paid for it. They gave me a budget and I stayed under it.

I really don't understand the need for a wedding planner. Honestly. For years, women managed just fine without them. cheers ;)

They can call me! I am a certified minister ordained via the Internet. I can perform ceremonies for real. LOL Wouldn't that be a blast? Or maybe not.

When I got married there was no such thing as a wedding planner.
