Be Romantic for Valentine's Day and Everyday

Valentine's day can be one of the most unromantic days of the year if you simply go through the routine and then drop it once the day is over. We need to be more spontaneous and do things that our spouse or significant other doesn't expect for Valentine's Day. If you simply send flowers every year, switch it up this year to spice up the romance and get the flames burning again. Here are some ideas to make Valentine's day more special for you and your special love this year.

ROMANTIC NOTES: Leave your love a romantic note for them to find. You could leave little heart shaped sticky notes all over the house for him or her to find when they get home. You could also wake them up with a special note on their mirror in the morning, saying love you. Place a sticky heart note on the TV screen saying, "Go ahead and turn it on, but when I get home, I'm going to turn your on". They won't be able to concentrate on the show they are watching.

ROMANTIC BREAKFAST: Serve some heart shaped french toast or pancakes for breakfast on Valentine's day. Simply cut them with a heart shaped cookie cutter and serve with red berries and whip topping. You could even have a breakfast picnic at home on the living room floor. Simply spread out a blanket and serve breakfast, picnic style.

ROMANTIC GIFTS: Give your love a year's worth of sweet dates and treats. For example, fill a box full of 52 date cards. There will be one card for each week of the year. On each card put the date of the week and what they can have that week. One week could be a romantic date with dinner and a movie of their choice. Or one week could be a trip to the day spa. One week could be you doing the housework for the entire week. Be creative, they don't have to be expensive dates or treats, just thoughtful and caring things. Make it easier on you and don't have every week be something expensive or complicated. Simply give one expensive or complicated gift once a month or so, depending on your time and budget. This would be a romantic gift that any woman would absolutely love!

Simply switching things up and being creative is the key to making Valentine's day special and making it feel like a new experience each year.
