Thanksgiving Poem

I'm thankful for the soft crumbly soil,

Says the worm.

I'm thankful for the flower's sweet nectar,

Says the butterfly.

I'm thankful for the air as I fly,

Says the bird.

I'm thankful for the sky and the earth,

Says the tree.

I'm thankful for the warmth of the sun on my coat,

Says the horse.

I'm thankful for the water that flows,

Says the fish.

I'm thankful if I wake up alive,

Says the child of Darfur.
