Beach Cliff Sardines in Soybean Oil

A Healthy Handy Food Offering

Sardines are a great food-source in any kitchen. My father loves making, and eating, sardine sandwiches on peasant bread lathered in fresh butter and with thick slices of onion with just a touch of dill and a pinch of Spanish oregano. He loves them year round and only buys the very best canned sardines from Italy.

Sorry to say Pops, I don't like them that way. However I do enjoy canned sardines and being a college student on a budget I do embrace low cost provisions.

Beach Cliff sardines in soybean oil taste great. They're not expensive and they are available in many grocery stores all-year-round. Perfect for a quick tasty snack or even used as an ingredient in a 'full' meal they can be crushed up and, when drained, added to sauces. Sardines can be sliced, pureed, or beaten to a pulp. I remember my infant cousin Landis being fed this as an infant. The meal was mixed with rice and he LOVED it.

While attending college I found myself on a monetary budget. So we decided we would research what type of cheap food would give us the best nutrition. Invariably the answer kept coming back with canned tuna or canned sardines.

So, with limited funds in-hand, we gave it a try. My room-mates tried substituting these sardines in our Tuna-Helper and noticed the flavor was much better. We even discovered sardine-melt sandwiches which tasted great on sourdough bread sliced thinly and topped with dill pickles, American cheese, and Plochman's mustard.

Beach Cliff sardines come in an enticing 3.75 ounce tin with a finger-rim pull that easily exposes these delectable delights. The ingredients include: Sardines, Soybean oil, Salt.

Seriously you like sardines. Not many females can attest to that. You must have really been hungry!
