Beach crafts are perfect for seniors and toddlers while on Summer vacation. If you like to take a family vacation with multi generations, then have your seniors and toddlers try out this fun sand craft! They will be using natural items found on the beach to create a fun clock that can be sued to count down the days till next year's vacation at the beach.

To make this Beach Craft Your Seniors and Toddlers Will Need:

Wood Plaque

Clock Kit

Glue

Found Beach Items

Paint

Paint Brushes

Once you have collected all the sea shells and other found beach objects you will need a wood plaque. If you found a piece of drift wood on th beach and want to turn it not the clock, then even better.

Once you find you wood you want to paint it out. You can use acrylic paints from the craft store, leftover paints from other projects, or veen let it sit your tin the sun and water and age out.

Take your painted piece of wood and drill a hole where you want to install the clock. Mom or Dad can do this if you senior does not feel comfortable drill the hole in this craft. You can also buy pre drilled wood plaques with the hole already in them.

Now, start applying the sea shells to the clock base. You can use an epoxy glue or other heavy duty glue. Hot glue will work, but the found beach objects in this craft for seniors and toddler may pop off down the road.

Use sea shells to mark each of the numbers on the clock. Another fun look is to create a boarder using seas shells. Then you can use sand dollars ot make the numbers on the clock.

Everything you find can be used in some way. If your senior and toddler are finding more scraps or strips of wood washed up then they can be used ot frame out the wood or even create vertical lines on it.

Another fun look is to lay sand dollars on the wood and dab paint around them. This will work like stencil and have a fun natural look!

Once any paint and glue has dried your senior and toddler can work together to install the clock kit. This usually involves about 3 steps and takes about 10 minutes, so they can get as involved as they wish.

You can buy clock kits for this beach clock craft project online and you won't even have to go to the local crafts store! The greta thing about this beach craft for seniors and toddlers is that it can also be used as a learning tool to help teach yoru toddler how to start telling time.
