Beach Days

Beach Days
Our three children loved the beach.
We camped, in a tent, when my oldest two were small.
I will never forget my husband helping our daughter learn to ride her bike.
He took the training wheels off, while we were camping at Ocean Lakes.
Thetwo oldest pedaled their bikes constantly.
My husband and myself could sit down and watch them,
as they rode back and forth down the paved street.
Across the street was a swing for all three of them to enjoy.
Baby buckets for our youngest child and swings for the older two.
Shuffle board, putt-putt and the pool were all together on the next street.
They all three enjoyed riding their Boogie boards for hours on end.
The waves brought them in and then they ran back out,
in the ocean, to ride the waves again.
Our daugther loved to build sand castles on the beach.
We sat for hours, and used our shovels and pales, to build the fortess.
The highlight was watching them look for sharks teeth.
They would dig down into the sand to find the black tooth to save.
Randall and Shandall's blonde hair brightened.
Then, in the fall, their hair would turn light brown again.
