Beach Homes in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is perfectly located for a summer beach house. Being only about 2 hours drive from Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, it is not that hard to commute, especially when you can come home to a relaxing, warm sandy beach and if you can tele-commute at least part of the time, all the better. Just think of how nice it would be to work while sitting on your private deck overlooking the ocean.

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware has a miniature golf course and an amusement park right on the right on the boardwalk along with a bandstand with free concerts all summer long. It is big enough to serve the residents, but not large enough to draw large crowds, keeping the area very private. There are a lot of outlet stores in the area and there is no sales tax in Delaware.

The housing in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will give you a lot of options. The condos are mostly in townhouses and the three bedrooms has more square footage than some of the houses. Most beach communities do not have very high rise buildings. It all depends on the composition of the sub soil. If it is too sandy, it will not support high rise buildings. The private houses are all different. There is a big price difference. Not counting the huge mansions, which have commanding views of the ocean, swimming pools and just about everything else, the determining factors will be the number of rooms and the square footage. Some of what look like smaller homes with two bedrooms will have more square footage than some of the three bedroom homes. There are a great many recently built homes, built within the last 5 years or so. They are on the more expensive end. Also, some of the homes are in private county club communities and those in the area known as North Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will be more expensive than those in Rehoboth Beach it self.

When thinking of buying a vacation home, the most important thing is location, the distance from your job. If Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is in the right area for you, then it is one that you should take some time to come and investigate. Spend a weekend get a sense of the atmosphere, and if it makes you feel at home, then a home is your next step.
