Poet in a concho
Myth for the ages
Enigma luminous
Bearded electric
Did their knaves and knifes stick you
Bind you with a trial
Of all the confines and cages
Your last straw paid someone's wages
Stole your peace of mind
And various other pieces
You predicted the machines
And they surely came
Genetic disposition for
Eternal inquisition
Did you enjoy the ride
Is your theater still running
Have you forgiven Zeus
Or are you riding that lightning bolt
If he let you finish the job
Setting the world afire
I'd have loved to watch it burn with you
