Bearing Fruit

Genie Walker
A flower blooms in its own time.
As does a human's soul.
Neither can be forced to bud.
It happens at the proper season.

One must prepare the groundwork first.
Shaping the home for the seed.
The warmth of Mother Earth shelters the seedling.
As does the Creator shelters the soul.

Slowly, nourish the seedling.
As with the soul it needs loving care.
Gently pull and discard the weeds.
As with a flower, one must have room to grow.

It becomes a living, breathing, budding plant.
Absorb the steps of spiritual growth.
Fertilize your soul by savoring each lesson.
As the flower grows so does the soul.

In time the buds become radiant blossoms.
Delightful scents invites us to breathe in their essence.
No need to rush through the season.
Each soul blooms in its own time.
