Beating Online Boredom

If you're anything like me, you spend a lot of time on the internet. You probably also spend a lot of time browsing. If you're around computers a lot and have time to kill you're probably always looking around for something interesting to browse. Well I'm going to show you how to beat this online boredom. Below is a list of some of the most interesting websites out there today. Be sure to check these out, you wont be sorry.

Digg - Digg.com is probably my favorite past time. I probably check it for updates every hour or so. With digg users submit stories and when people think the story is cool they "digg it". When a story gains enough diggs it appears on the front page. My favorite thing to do when I visit Digg is to click "All Topics" and then choose "Top in 24 Hours". This instantly gives me a list of the highest dugg stories and some real good reading. You can spend hours a day here reading all the whacky comments and checking out the latest stories.

Make that Dollar - Make that Dollar is a great way to spend time making some extra money. I've probably made close to $1000 here over the last 3 or 4 months. You can choose to take surveys or sign up for trial offers (in which you can cancel at the end of your trial period and not be charged anything) and get paid for it. You can get paid as little as 25 cents and as much as $50 or more per offer. I mostly stick with the free offers like surveys and web site signups and I still made a lot of money. You can also have your friend's signup and do these offers and you get money for referring them.

Inselkampf Inselkampf is a browser based game which is a lot of fun. You are the ruler of your own island where you can build buildings and ships, do weapons research, train and army and go to war. You can see other islands around you and attack them. It gets pretty fun when you start colonizing near by islands and growing stronger. You can waste hours of time playing this game online.

Flash Element TD - This is a highly addictive flash game where you try to stop "creeps" from getting to the end of the maze. You do this by building different kinds of attacking towers in the grass around the maze. To get the highest score you need to keep as much gold in your bank as possible. This will be hard to do at first but you'll start understanding the strategies in the game after awhile. There are fast levels, boss levels, immune levels and air levels. So you can see there are many different challenges that lay ahead. Don't let this one take your life over, because it can!

Internet Archive - Internet Archive allows you to see what a website looked like a month ago, a year ago, even 10 years ago. It's extremely cool to see what Google's website looked like in 1998 when it was still a prototype. Check out Yahoo back in 1996 or EBay in 97! Those pages sure did look tacky back then didn't they?
