BeautiControl Microderm Eye-X-Cel Cream

Andrea Rowe
As a woman in my 30's, I greatly regret all the time I spent in the tanning bed as a teenager. Already I see some damage from the sun and no greater is the damage than in the area of my eyes. While I was shopping last week, I purchased some BeautiControl Microderm Eye-X-Cel. My purchase was made in a thrift store but I checked the expiration date and it is a year from expiring. The box was new and never opened so the jar was not tampered with. I purchased it for $6.00 and was happy to find a higher priced skin care item for less than half what it retails.

I have used the BeautiControl Microderm Eye-X-Cel cream several times. While the area near my eyes does feel more moisturized as it claimed to do, I believe I may be allergic to an ingredient in the formula. Yesterday I noticed my eyes burned and itched after using the product and soon after I had a headache. This same headache occurred after using the product previously as well. BeautiControl Microderm Eye-X-Cel claims to have been tested by a dermatologist for allergens so perhaps something else changed in my environment to which I am unaware. Also, I am very prone to allergies so I may be an exception to the rule in this case.

The BeautiControl website claims Eye-X-Cel cream moisturizes the eye area, soothes and improves firmness of the skin near the eyes, and minimizes the appearance of fine lines. BeautiControl Eye-X-Cel cream is supposed to give the area near the eyes a more youthful appearance. I do not know how long it is supposed to take for these changes to occur but with my usage (of about six times) I only noticed the area moisturized.

BeautiControl Microderm Eye X-Cel cream is supposed to be used twice a day-once in the morning and once at night. The product comes in a .5 oz jar. Because so little needs to be used, a jar will last a while. The BeautiControl website has Eye-X-Cel cream available for $20.00 at the current time. Many additional BeautiControl skin products are available on the site as well.

My eyes are real sensitive to a lot of products, too.

    Thanks for the review

Good review, you may very well be allergic to an ingredient in it. I have skin sensitivities so a lot of products irritate my skin rather than help it. :)
