Encrusted crystals
Not even aware of Earth Day
Outlived the dinosaurs
Knowingly, see our feet of clay.
Lives without pretension
Here, maybe, long after we're gone
Our moments a flicker in time?
While the 'dumb' insects always shone.
Not even aware of Earth Day
Outlived the dinosaurs
Knowingly, see our feet of clay.
Lives without pretension
Here, maybe, long after we're gone
Our moments a flicker in time?
While the 'dumb' insects always shone.
This poem was inspired by these amazing photos of sleeping insects here:

Post a CommentI really like this. Very good imagery.
Fantastic poem. The photos are awesome. I have always wanted to do macro photography.
Amazing photography. At first I thought you were going to take me to photos of cockroaches, but these pictures were both fascinating and ugly (not a bug lover). Great poem.
Wow! Love both the pics and the poem. :)
The pictures are amazing, those insects are my friends.. does that make me an alien too? :) giggles
Some are truly stunning in color and ability.

the insects will rule the world one day - (if they don't already do!)
