Beautiful Boy
I watch the sunlight dance across your face
Everything around me comes together
And I step from the shadows
Where I'd been hidden and alone
A strange sensation moves through me
Pure joy
The kind I never knew existed
You give me your toothless grin
Babble and wave your hands
And the emptiness in my soul is filled
There are times when I look at you
And I cry
Hardly believing such a miracle happened to me
I have prayed so much and wished on a million stars
For something, anything
I never imagined it'd be you
My heart bursts with love
For you
My son.
