Supply List:

Bobby pins and elastic bands to match the color of your hair (The bobby pins that work the best are found at a beauty supply store)

Comb

Hairspray

1/2" Hot barrel curling iron

The Perfect Curl:

For beautiful curly hair, use the following steps:

1. Start at the crown of your head, wrap a small section of hair around the heated curling iron starting at the base of the barrel

2. Continue wrapping the hair until you have reached the tip of the iron.

3. Hold the hair in place making sure that all the hair is evenly wrapped for 5-10 seconds.

4. The Perfect Curl will hold longer than a curl that is started at the tip of your hair and wrapped upward.

5. Sweep bangs to one side of your face and use your curling iron to lightly curl the ends by pulling the curling iron through the hair in a continuous, downward motion.

Gorgeous Half Up-do

1. Side part your hair and hairspray into place.

2. Use The Perfect Curl technique to curl all of your hair

3. Divide the top half of your hair into three even sections. (Right, Middle, Left). Pin the right and left sections so they are not in the way.

4. Lift the middle section and back comb the underneath hair closest to the scalp to create lift. Hair spray the back combed area. Take an elastic band and fasten this section at the back, top position of your head.

5. Take a small portion of hair; creating a barrel roll by wrapping the hair around your fingers starting at the base of your head. Leave some hair not rolled leaving the curled ends hanging. Fasten the hair in place by taking two bobby pins in opposite directions and overlapping them to create an x in the center of the roll. Continue barrel rolling sections of hair until all of the middle section is rolled and pinned.

6. Unpin the right side section. Start twisting the hair inwards towards the head. As you roll, you will weave the rest of the hair creating a long roll that wraps to the back section. With an elastic band, pin the hair so that the hair is secure. Take the left section and duplicate the right side.

7. Barrel roll the hair in the right and left sections, making sure that all elastic bands and bobby pins are securely fastened and hidden.

8. Use The Perfect Curl technique to curl any ends that need to be refreshed.

9. Use hair spray to set the do in place.

10. If using any hair accessories, add them now.

All Up-do:

This hairstyle follows the same basic principles of the Half Up-do

1. Start by creating a side part. Use hair spray to spray the parted hair into place.

2. Divide all of your hair into three even sections (Right, Middle, Left)

3. Begin with the middle section. Loosely fasten the hair with an elastic band.

4. Begin taking a portion of hair and barrel rolling the hair completely. Fasten the hair in place. Continue until all hair is pinned and securely fastened with all elastic bands and bobby pins hidden.

5. Use Hair Spray to set the do in place

6. If using any hair accessories, add them now.

Side Back Twist:

Essentially, this do is a side ponytail. The twist comes into play when you start on one side and twist your way to the opposite side of your head. Right to left, or left to right, ending in the side ponytail.

1. Create a side part and hair spray into place.

2. Use the Perfect Curl technique to curl the top layer of hair, about 8-12 curls in all, making sure that curls do not overlap and that all curls are going in the same direction. Let the curls hang freely.

3. Starting at the left, take a small amount of hair and twist in an upward direction. As you twist moving towards the right, grab pieces of hair and continue twisting. As you twist, allow your curls to hang freely, don't force the curls in or out of the twist. When you have reached the right side and all of the hair has been included, take an elastic band and completely secure the hair into place.

4. Using the barrel roll technique, roll the pony-tailed hair leaving the ends loose. Pin each roll in place and make sure all elastics and bobby pins are hidden

5. Once all hair has been rolled and secured, use the Perfect Curl technique to curl the ends.

6. Use hairspray to set the style in place.

7. If using any hair accessories, add them now.
