Beautiful Girls is the first song off of Sean Kingston's debut album which is self titled. This uses the bass line from Ben E. King's classic song Stand By Me. This song is about a boy that is heartbroken about his relationship with a beautiful girl ended. Some controversy has rose about this song. Many radio songs have censored the word suicidal. Some have replaced the word with 'in denial'. On MTV, the word is completely removed, while on BET and Fuse, the word remains intact. It is reported on a few radio stations, they have decided against playing this song at all. Still, this song can be heard during the 2008 film Cloverfield and on the television show Gossip Girl. Lil Mama, Kenny Vibert, and Lil' JJ are featured in the music video.

This song has done very well on the charts. It greatly benefited from the high amounts of airplay before it was released. It reached as high as seventeenth on the Billboard Hot 100 before the song was digitally released. It was accidently leaked onto the web onto the iTunes Store on July 24, two days before it was planned on being released. The song hit the top spot of iTunes within 24 hours. It ended up reaching the top spot of the chart by the end of the week, with over 260,000 downloads in the first week alone. This was the second highest amount for the first week sales, behind Rihanna's Umbrella. Kingston became the first artist born in the 1990's to top the Hot 100. He beat Soulja Boy Tell 'Em by six weeks. The twenty-three spot jump tied a record, too. This was also one of the highest selling songs around the world.

This song did very well on the charts. It reached the top spot of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Pop 100. It also reached twelfth on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and thirty-ninth on the Adult Top 40. This song reached the top of many charts around the world. It reached the number one spot in the Australian Singles Chart, Canadian Hot 100, Eurochart Hot 100, New Zealand Singles Chart, Portugal Singles Chart, Irish Singles Chart, United Kingdom Singles Chart, and Spanish Top 40. It reached the peak spot of two on the Danish Download Chart, French Singles Chart, and Hungarian Top 40. Other chart performances include third on the Swedish Top 60, seventh on the Italian Singles Chart, ninth on the Czech Airplay Chart, eleventh on the Swiss Top 100, and sixteenth on the Mexico Top 100.
