Coconut milks and oils are a popular ingredient in lots of good quality bath products, haircare products, and skincare products. This is mainly because the coconut has beneficial properties almost every skincare enthusiast goes crazy over; the ability to efficiently cleanse the skin, and the ability to smooth and moisturize the skin as well. Coconut Milk also has natural anti fungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties that make it an invaluable and necessary part of the beauty world.

Coconuts are full of things that are great for your skin and body, like vitamins A and C, Calcium, Iron, and natural proteins. Coconuts milk is particularly sturdy and rich, and has been used for ages to nourish your hair and skin and leave it looking smooth and radiant. Not much has changed in people's opinion on coconuts as a skin and hair care aid, as it's still being widely used throughout the world in many top products, as well as being utilized at home to make easy and natural cleansers.

Using Coconut Milk At Home

Using coconut oil at home is very easy, and you can use things you probably have in your own home to give it a little boost. You can normally use coconut milk you buy from a store, but you have to make sure it's organic! Sometimes brands will try to make it look natural, but make sure to read the labels, as some coconut milk you can buy has additives that might not be all that great for your skin.

You can make a great facial scrub at home using a half cup of coconut milk, a quarter cup of sea salts, and about two tablespoons of baking soda. A good tip is to mix the ingredients with a hand whisk in a glass or ceramic bowl. This is an amazingly effective and very cost efficient face scrub that will cleanse your skin and leave it looking fresh and renewed!

If you have oilier skin or bad acne, you can use a variation of that face scrub using a few dashes of fresh ground cinnamon, as it's a good natural exfoliate and will work quite well with the coconut milk and salts, and leaves you with an even more delightful scent afterward.

You can also use coconut oil to make a great facial cleanser for dry or blotchy, uneven skin, using a few drops with some unaltered oatmeal ground up very fine, and about 3 tablespoons of coconut milk. (You can also use whole milk!) This can even double as a mask, having great effects on your skin for about 5 minutes after you apply it. Rinse off with cool water to leave your skin looking even and refreshed.

Coconut oil is an amazing way to revitalize and cleanse your skin naturally, helping it to maintain it's original glow and beauty. If you simply don't have the time to pamper yourself with home made coconut milk and coconut oil remedies, try finding products you can use that contain one or both of those ingredients.
