It Gets Hot During the Day
Do not forget to pack the sunscreen and a cute hat to protect yourself. Bikini tops or tanks tops and shorts are a standard fair at these events, especially if you are looking to get in the mud yourself. Easily hosed off clothes are a must if you plan on riding in one of the trucks that lack windows or wrestling in-between the action.
You Will More Than Likely Get Dirty
Even if you plan on just spending the day, safely away from the mud pit, lounging away on a blanket, do not count on staying clean. Mud fights, rambunctious guys and a few beers all add up to raising the odds that you will be thrown in at one time or another, or at least splattered by dirt shrapnel from nearby mud balls. Beauty essentials include baby wipes and a change of clothing if you can not stand the thought of spots on your outfit.
It Gets Chilly at Night
The one thing that still amazes me is all of the girls who, year after year, forget about the sun going down at some point. My husband and I usually can come to the rescue as we always throw extra sweaters and jackets in our trunk before heading out. If this is your first time going to one, most usually have festivities into the night, including a bonfire. It may be warmer around the circle but that doesn't mean that you will not need to cover up your cute bikini top and shorts. Plan ahead and bring a cute sweater to cuddle up in, or a blanket if you plan on having a plan for two. Beauty tips for a mud run's evening include bug spray and an overnight bag with your hair brush, makeup and any other daily products because you never know when you may want to tent out and hit the hole the next morning again.
