Beauty God's Way

Romans 10:15 NIV

The other night I watched a popular Prime-time news show that espoused the benefits of one popular diet after another. There was The Zone, Atkins, Sugarbusters, The South Beach Diet and so on. There were low carbs, no carbs, and very complicated carbs...the list seemed endless. As I watched so many "perfect" bodies roll across my screen, I couldn't help but think about about how I hadn't heard a single reference to anything that defined true beauty God's way. Things like loving others more than ourselves, hungering to understand the ways of God or forever changing another's eternal destiny by sharing the truth about God's good and perfect gift of salvation. There's little doubt that we live in a world that judges our success by our physical bodies and our material posessions, but it's what's in our hearts that matters most to God.

Father, we live in a world of lost and hurting people seeking love and acceptance in the only ways they know how to.These bodies of ours were formed from dust and to dust they will return, help me to implement daily, Your beauty tips which are the only ones that eternally matter.
