After the eyeopening sixties, the seventies rushed in with disco, sex, drugs and free love. Most of the beauty icons of the top beauty icons of the 1970s followed true to these roots. Deborah Harry
Better known as simply "Blondie", the name of her band, she took the world by storm and fast became one of the top beauty icons of the 1970's.

Gloria Gaynor
Another unarguably sensual star, Gloria Gaynor's album ""Never Can Say Good-Bye" hit #1 on the charts. She has been teaching woman how to survive ever since.

Bonnie Raitt
Her thick red tresses and soulful voice set the world of blues on fire with her 1971 debut album. Being a great artist and performer is not the only reason she is one of the top beauty icons of the 1970's, she is also a devout activist. Her many different causes include stopping the war in Central America to ending the seventies decade with an anti-nuke concert in 1980.
