Beauty from Leaves
Celery leaves:
Clean and slice some celery leaves and then boil them. Allow them to cool and then strain this water. Add a spoonful of vinegar to this water. Use this water to shampoo your hair. Rinse with plain water after the shampoo.
Leaves of ribbed gourd:
After cleaning and slicing, grind these leaves to paste and apply on the dark patches. Within a period of week, the patches will disappear with no trace left behind.
Bilva leaves:
They are used to worship Lord Shiva. These de-odorize your body. Grind, paste, and apply them on your whole body before you go for bath.
Bay leaves:
These are good teeth whiteners. Grind dry bay leaves and use them to scrub your teeth twice a week
Lettuce leaves:
These make a good face pack. Grind these leaves along with one small rose and mix the paste with few drops of lime juice. Apply this paste on your face and keep it for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with water.
Mint leaves:
First wash these leaves and then grind them to a smooth paste. Before you go for sleep, apply this on your face every night. This will eliminate your pimples as well as those hateful blemishes on your skin.
Henna Leaves:
For the best result you are advised to soak these fresh leaves in water for the whole night. The next morning drain the water out and grind them along with few Indian kattha, sugar, turmeric powder, and also the lime juice. This process will enhance the color of henna to the bright red. This mixture is used for darkening the hair. It is also used for making vegetable tattoo designs on the palms and feet.
Neem leaves:
These leaves are used to cure scars caused by chickenpox, small pox, and other similar abnormalities. You need to boil these leaves with water until the water is evaporated to three fourth of its initial size. Strain the water, allow it to cool and use it for bathing.
Tea leaves:
Boil these leaves for 15 minutes in water. Strain and cool and use this water for washing your hair. This water can be refrigerated and used to wash tired eyes.
Basil leaves:
For preventing any disease, make a habit of chewing a few of these leaves, along with a teaspoon of honey once a day. It improves your resistance to colds, sinus problems and all skin diseases. They can be made into a paste and applied on the head to get rid of lice.
