True Answers About Products from Botox to Hemmorhoid Creams

Lisa White ISSA & AFPA CPT
There is so much information about existing products and new beauty enhancements that it's hard to tell what is true or false. Simple everyday questions such as which is the right mascara for sensitive eyes and finding the best foundation to match your skintone are questions that have many myths to them. Here are some beauty truths to be aware of.

Matching foundation to your skintone can be done

Trying to find a foundation that matches your skin can be very problematic especially if you are inbetween shades but it is possible. Blending a lighter with a darker shade is one way to find a shade that's right for you. Once you have chosen the proper tone test it on your cheek but not on your jawline or hand. On average, hands are the least protected from the sun and are usually a bit darker than your face because foundations and facial lotions have sunscreen.

Glitter can be an issue

Glitter is a way to create depth in your eye make-up regime but over time glitter can cause problems especially if worn with contacts. Rubbing the glitter loose can cause flecks to be lodged in the eye causing an irritation under the contacts. This will not only irritate your eyes but can lead to scratches on the corneas and can cause infection.

False eyelashes can cause a loss of lashes

Long lashes are the envy of every woman but the use of falsie's can lead to the loss of eye lashes. With each use the glue can pull lashes out causing the growth of lashes to slowdown or stop entirely. Products have been introduced on the beauty market such as Lashe Relonge, Revitalash, Latisse and LiLash which have been proven to be a successful way to increase eyelash growth.

Botox is not a cure for all wrinkles

Botox can prevent wrinkles only in certain areas where there are muscle contractions. Botox is able to freeze the contractions in areas such as between the eyebrows, creases in the forehead, and besides the eyes but over time natural creasing will occur. Fine lines along the cheekbone can not be helped by the use of Botox but a sunscreen with at least an SPF30 can help prevent them.

Hemmorhoid cream is a puffiness reducer

These creams have been a long time favorite for models, bodybuilders and anyone wanting to reduce bags under the eyes or to tighten the midsection. Hemmorhoid creams do work to reduce puffiness but also dehydrate the skin. Over using these creams will create fine lines due to the dehydration it causes the skin which is an issue most are trying to avoid. Using this on your skin should be done sparingly as it can also create a allergic reaction over time.
