I really liked the richness of the mousse foam. The foam of this facial cleanser was thick and creamy with every pump. I would use two pumps of foam to cleanse my face. Due to the richness, I believe the product would last a while. Even though it is an expensive facial cleanser, sold at $20 per bottle, I believe it would be a good value if used on its own. However, Foaming Mousse Cleanser is to precede Clinique 3 Step System. The system products use comes after a face cleansing is complete. Clinique 3 Step System costs around $50, which means a person, would be spending around $70 on a beauty regimen. In my opinion, Clinique Foaming Mousse Cleanser results are so not worth the money.
Clinique Foaming Mousse Cleanser did remove foundation, mascara and other makeup well from my face. If this facial cleanser would react well with my skin type, I believe that it would be a good product for removing daily dirt and makeup residue.
I used Clinique Foaming Mousse Cleanser four times and according to directions. Each time my face ended up extremely dry, irritated and flaked with dry skin cells. My skin, specifically around my cheeks and nose, would feel tight and uncomfortable. The amount of dryness on my face was awful and so disappointing. Following up with Clinique 3, Step System did not do much to remove dryness from my face. The results would last for two days and I would heavily moisturize my skin to restore its condition.
The reason I tried Clinique Foaming Mousse Cleanser so many times was to see if I was doing something wrong or if this product was just incompatible with my skin type. I believe I gave it a fair chance and it did nothing but disappoint with each use. I have and continue to use other Clinique beauty products, this was the only one to deliver unsatisfactory results.
I would personally not recommend Clinique Foaming Mousse Cleanser to women with sensitive or dry skin. Based on its price, this facial mousse cleanser is not worth it. The best part of having a bottle of Clinique Foaming Mousse Cleanser was throwing it away.
